    Major Technology

     

    * For AFS9300, the optical components and atomization device are installed on the same optical platform. With a strict machining tolerance, the optical focus is better coincident with the central axis of the atomization device.

     

    * Dynamic following denoising technology

    Atomic fluorescence uses a colorless astigmatic system.There is no beam splitting system in the instrument,lacking the ability of disassembling the compound light into the monochromatic one; the photomultiplier tube produces a response to all spectrum signals received,to output the combined signal of background and sample.

    The dynamic following denoising technology can extract

    the background signal from the mixed signal and leave

    the sample signal alone, which basically eliminates the influence of the background signal on the test signal.

    In the process of testing, the photomultiplier tube will not cause the fluctuation of the output signal even if there are other direct light sources.

     

    * Separated hydride reaction system

    The reaction of the hydride and the carrier gas are led to separated reaction system,

    which effectively reduces the response pulse

    Main Concerns of the products & its applications:

     

    1. The Significance of Elemental Speciation Analysis

     

    In nature, elements can exist in many different forms of compounds, and the toxicity of these compounds is closely related to their speciation of the existence.

     

    As for the arsenic compounds, the toxicity of inorganic arsenic much higher than the organic one-- and the more organic perssad combined with,the less the toxicity of arsenic is; for mercury compounds, the toxicity of organic mercury is far bigger than inorganic one, and the toxicity of alkyl mercury is greater than that of aryl mercury.

     

    Therefore, in the determination of arsenic, mercury and other elements to evaluate its toxicity, speciation analysis is more scientific and accurate than the determination of total amount.

     

    2. Existing forms of arsenic

     

    Main arsenic compounds found in the air, soil, water and sediments are As2O3 or arsenite (As3+), arsenate (As5+), monomethylarsonic acid (MMA) and two methyl arsenate (DMA);

    in seafood, they are in the forms of arsenobetaine (AsB) and arsenocholine (AsC).

    In addition, there are other more complex arsenic compounds, such as arsenic sugar (AsS), arsenolipid compounds (AsL) in seaweed.

    4. The Existing Speciation of Mercury

     

    Common speciation of mercury in the environment include metallic mercury, inorganic mercury (monovalent and two valence compounds), methylmercury, ethyl mercury, and phenyl mercury,etc.

     

    Mercury and its compounds are easily dissolved in fatty substances, and are concentrated and enriched gradually through food chains (especially the aquatic food chains),which results in the mercury content in aquatic organisms higher than that in environmental waters.

     

    When methylmercury enters the human body, 70% of it can be absorbed by the body, mainly concentrated in the central nervous system of the body, kidneys and liver, while a large amount of methylmercury is found in brain tissue.
